Tuna

We live some what in the country, and our place is dumping grounds for people who do not want their pets. Some wonder off never to be seen again, and then some we have to catch and haul to the pound, because there is no way we can afford to feed all the cat’s that get dropped off. Several have been pregnant females. Not real fun trying to catch several wild kittens.

Anyways meet Tuna. Someone dropped him off probably about a year ago or so. At first he was very skittish. With a lot of sweet talking from my daughter, he warmed up to her.

I was going to take him to the pound and my husband wanted me to leave him be, so I went and got some cat food and started to feed him. Shortly afterwords he warmed up to our family. Now when we leave we come home to him waiting to get in.

He is a very strange cat. He sometimes tries to get in the house on his own. But it does not work. He fights the raccoons that come up to the porch. We now have to feed him inside, because he was getting beat up pretty bad. When we let him in the house he gets on the couch and sleeps like a baby.

I guess you can say Tuna has claimed us as his new family.

  1. Aww Tuna is adorable! We took in a cat as a kid, it ended up being my sister's, she loved that cat and then it had babies!

  2. The only reason we said he could stay was because we new he wasn't ever gonna be able to have babies. :) Over all he is a very good cat and I can not believe anyone would drop him off he is so loving.
