Birth Control Pills

I was debating whether to post about this issue, because it is a more private matter. I would however like some feedback. One of the main reasons I wanted to keep this topic off my blog was, because I know certain family members come here and it’s not their business, but to hell with it.

Birth control pills, if I knew then what I know now I do not think I would have ever taken them. Sure, it regulated my monthly, it kept acne away, and it was helpful in not getting me pregnant. Nevertheless, it also made me gain weight, and screwed up my hormones. I would love to have one more child. I have stopped taking the pill in January and since then I have only had one monthly, which was 5 days later. (And yes if any family members is reading this my husband knows) No I am not pregnant I have done been tested many times. I am somewhat afraid to see an OB. I have read online that it can take 6 months to one year for your body to get back to normal.

Has anyone else had these same problems with birth control pills, and if so how did you go about getting your hormones back on track? I am looking for a natural way to get my hormones out of whack.

  1. I have never had these issues because I haven't stayed on BC for longer than 2 months. I just can't remember to take them! (that's why I was pregnant 3.5 months after getting married!)

But I've had friends with these same problems. One couldn't get pregnant for 5 months cause her body was so used to the BC for hormones….

I HAVE heard that Red Raspberry Leaf Tea is supposed to be good for a woman's reproductive organs and health! Good luck!

  2. I will have to check into that. I know when it is my time for another little one it will happen. I just hope it happens sooner. :)

  3. Jennifer Leigh says:

You most likely have PCOS. I stopped my BC (not the pill) in May and have regulated once. I have used every BC out there. I got preggers on the pill & the patch. Love the ring. Just gotta get over the whole process of it first.

Anyways LOL, back to the subject. I have been seeing a fertility doc b/c I need help as well. I highly recommend seeing your OB. It may have nothing to do with the pills….I've only heard the Shot can truly mess your body up.

BTW, if you don't take the pill properly it can actually encourage pregnancy ;)

  4. No advice Jammie but wanted to send some support. I am sending baby dust your way. Hugs.

  5. Thank you. :) As soon as I get things took care of with other issues. I will check more into this.

And thank you Lee Ann I can sure use the baby dust.
