Give A Day, Get A Disney Day

As Gillian and I was watching TV one evening, (of course the Disney Channel) an AD came across the TV for Disney. The AD was for the upcoming event Disney will be having. This event will begin January 1, 2010 and will continue until December 15, 2010, unless all tickets for this program are distributed first.

Therefore, when Gillian heard Disney say “Free” her face light up, I then explained to Gillian what this program was all about, the program is called “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” and is geared to inspire people to volunteer their time.

Gillian goes “Oh so I can work at McDonald’s for a day and get into Disney World for free?” I guess that would be volunteering if you’re not being paid for it, but I do not think that is the volunteering Disney is looking for. Sorry Gillian no free fries for you.

In order to participate in the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” you must sign up through the Disney site. How this works is you will sign up to volunteer your services with a participating organization. Once you have completed your service you will get one-day admission into either Disneyland or Walt Disney World. Do not try to fool Disney they will verify you completed your service.

    At least you let her use the computer. I don't let my kids use the computer at home. My older son uses it at school though. They're not totally deprived. They do have video games.

    I home school my daughter. A lot of our school work is based from the internet. And when she is using it in my presence I know she is not getting on to bad sites.

    Oh thanks Jammie! I'm going to take a look, I wonder if it will work here in Canada. We are planning a trip November 2010. :o)
