I had a rough pregnancy. I threw up stomach acid almost the whole nine months. When I would say something to the doctor and try to get something for morning sickness, which is what I though I was having I was told that was not morning sickness. Well it happened right when I got up and went on for a few hours…

Needless to say my teeth could not handle nine months of green junk coming from my stomach. I brushed my teeth like a normal person, but a tooth brush was no match for the green, yellowish stuff that was coming from the pit of my stomach. As the time went by the enamel from my teeth followed.

My teeth didn’t go over night, but I didn’t have insurance to get my teeth fixed when they started to go. Four years ago I had pretty teeth, now my teeth make me look like I am a crack head. Only reason people know I am not is because I am “cough” fat “cough”.

So now as I sit here I am freaking, because soon I will be going to get my teeth fixed. I am excited, scared and pissed off all in one. I am excited because I will soon be able to smile. I will be able to kiss my husband and not feel yucky for him. I am scared because things like this freak me out… I had my wisdom teeth pulled when I was pregnant not fun. AND THANK YOU MISTER DENTIST for informing me my teeth was in danger. I am also pissed off because it is going to cost me almost all of our income taxes.

Did you know it cost $143 to have ONE tooth pulled… I got 14 that need pulled. That is 2002 just too pull my fucking teeth. That is not including the xrays, the top denture and whatever else they decided to throw in there. No idea how much my insurance will cover, our coverage is shit… There is only one thing I know, and that is I am sitting here fighting back tears and waiting for the dentist office to call me and let me know what my insurance will cover and what I will have to pay…

I am hoping this dentist closer will work with me. If not I will go to Memphis. Cost there for a tooth being pulled is 70 UNLESS complications then 140. So chances are it will be 140 a tooth. BLAH is all I have to say blah fucking blah…

  1. Oh how awful! I hate going to the dentist (to actually go for my teeth, don't mind staring at him, he's a hotty!) so I can totally feel for you. I'm sorry things didn't go well with your pregnancy though, that must have been so hard. I hope things go well and the cost isn't too bad.

  2. Aww Thank You Lee Ann. I called around and found out my insurance will cover 1500. So that is AWESOME news, I am checking around right now to see if I can get it done cheaper. I am hoping a local dentist will do it for what a place in Memphis is doing it for and they file the insurance, If I goto Memphis I will have to file myself BUT it will cost 100 too 1000.00 not 1500 to 2500.
