Pink Together Gift Pack Giveaway

Pink Together Recognizing the tremendous impact breast cancer continues to have on millions of lives, General Mills created Pink Together. Now in its fourth year, Pink Together is a campaign that aims to raise greater awareness of the disease and to help those touched by breast cancer find strength together.

As many know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Many think breast cancer or cancer in general will not happen to them, and they maybe right. However, breast cancer is a deadly killer among women, and it is important that we all come together and help find a cure.

You may have heard that saying “Individually we are strong, but together we are stronger”. It is proven with numbers we can make a difference. I would like to encourage you all to visit PinkTogether.com, and show the over 680,000 breast cancer survivors and supporters, your support. Read the stories, send virtual flowers and just let them know you are thinking of them. You would be surprised how a few kind words can make a world of difference.

To encourage personal connections in the online community, General Mills will donate $1 (up to $20,000) to Komen for each inspirational story submitted, encouraging comment posted, or virtual flower of support sent on PinkTogether.com, and for each shared message of hope posted on Pink Together´s Facebook fan page during the month of October (up to $5,000). This $25,000 is in addition to the $2 million donation General Mills has committed to Komen to advance breast cancer research and support education and community outreach projects.

To help spread the word General Mills and MyBlogSpark provided me with a Connecting for a Cure gift pack which included.. Pink Ribbon car magnet and key chain, travel mug, and drawstring backpack, along with coupons for free packages of one Big G cereal, Green Giant® Frozen Veggies, Macaroni Grill® Dinner Kits, Fiber One® Bars and Progresso® Soup. In  addition to this gift pack I was also given the opportunity to offer one gift pack to my awesome readers!

Yup, you heard me one lucky winner will win a Connecting for a Cure gift pack as well.

Connecting for a CureAll of the items included in the gift packs are from ShopKomen.com, where 25 percent of the merchandise purchase price benefits Komen.

To enter for your chance to win a Connection for a Cure Gift Pack simply to one of 2 things. Or you can do both… If you do both make sure you leave to separate comments.

Mandatory: What actions have you taken or do you plan to take on PinkTogether.com (i.e. share a story, post an encouraging comment, send a virtual flower of support)?

  3. Alicia Webster says:

What I find most inspiring about the Pink Together community, is that they know that it isn’t about the money raised. It is about raising awareness instead and alerting people to the new knowledge that is out there and making sure everyone has access to a support system.

  4. I find the most inspiring thing about Pink Together is that there is a place where everyone effected by breast cancer can come and find inspiration stories to get them through the hard times of dealing with breast cancer. It’s also a place where you can share your own story about a battle with breast cancer to help encourage others to continue the fight for a cure.
