2 Year Smoke Free

Two years ago to this day, I quit smoking. I would say it was cold turkey, I didn’t get on the patch, or take some miracle drug to help me stop. I did however end up in the ER a week prior, for a bad infection, I was put on antibiotics, and 6 days later I could not stomach the taste of cigarettes no more.

I didn’t start smoking until I was 18 years old, I was going through a rough time in my life, my cousin had just been murdered, and things in life just plan sucked. I bought a pack of cigarettes and there it started. I quit a few times, but always ended up starting back up. This time it is different, I have no urge to pick back up. Maybe it is because of the rising price of something to just inhale.

So I can proudly say after smoking for 11 years of my life, I have been smoke free for 2 years now, and I can breathe better, and I feel better.

If you are thinking about quitting, there is no better time then now. Just remember though, you have to want to quit before quitting will be effective, if you really do not want to quit, then you will not be able to quit successfully.
