Exergen TemporalScanner Review

Exergen LogoWhen Gillian was about 17 months old, we spent a good week in and out of the ER. We still have no idea what was wrong with her. I know I was super scared and had a hard time sleeping at night. I was always taking her temperature, and with being a first time momma whenever I seen those triple numbers it was off to the ER. At one time they was about to admit her because she was losing too many fluids.

One thing I would have loved to have when Gillian was younger was a device that made it easier to take her temperature. Not only easier for me, but also something easier for her. I know every time I had to wake her to make sure her temperature was not too high, it made her uncomfortable.

One thing that bugs me as a mom is seeing my baby in pain and there being nothing I can do about it. I was recently introduced to Exergen TemporalScanner. Exergen TemporalScanner is a mom’s best friend; this thermometer should be in every mom’s bathroom. With the Exergen TemporalScanner you can easily take your child’s temperature, get an accurate result, without disturbing them.

A little about the Exergen TemporalScanner:

The Exergen TemporalScanner (www.exergen.com) is an infrared thermometer that captures temperature by scanning the heat that comes off the forehead (via the temporal artery), it is non-invasive, easy-to-use (only takes 2 seconds) and extremely accurate. This high-tech thermometer is a great tool that will help parents avoid the painful experience of taking their sick toddler’s temperature rectally and uncomfortably.

With two dozen studies attesting to its accuracy and reliability, almost 50% of hospitals and 1/3 of pediatricians are using the Exergen TemporalScanner. Fusing accurate medical technology with a mother’s gentle touch, the TemporalScanner will avoid messy episodes having to hold a fussy and sick child down long enough to get an accurate thermometer reading. It merely takes two seconds and a gentle swipe, so parents can even check a sleeping child’s temperature.

What I love the most about this thermometer is not only is it easy to use, it is easy to read. To this day, I still do not know how to read those glass ones. If you know a new mom, the Exergen TemporalScanner would make a great gift to get her this Mother’s Day. Not only will this thermometer bring her peace of mind, it will also make her job of taking care of a sick child a bit easier.
