Light Affection Review and Giveaway

I will not lie, I love gifts, but the ones that mean the most to me are the ones that are personalized. Nothing says I love you, than a gift that was well thought out. I am not saying the ones that are not personalized are not special and mean nothing to me, just the ones that are personalized mean a bit more!

I recently ran across a company called Light Affections, let me tell you this company rocks. Light Affections, take your photo (has to be good quality) and they use a unique technique to carve your picture into a special material. Then they assemble it into a light or a night light. This is truly awesome; I am in love with my night light, I cannot stop looking at it in amaze on how this was done!

About Light Affection:

Lisa Mann – Owner “My humble beginnings are in the Manufacturing environment. Although I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer, design and art have always captivated me. For as long as I remember I wanted to have my own product and was looking for one that will involve creativity as well as be able to put my past experience to use. Light Affection was exactly that. The idea of the product has been around since the 1800th but the challenge was to give it a more contemporary look while maintaining its quality. In addition, I was faced with the technical challenge of developing a process for creating one-of-a-kind personalized pieces. This means that no Molds or Dies would be used in the process and each piece would be individually designed and cut. It took several month and a few prototypes to get to the product and look I was looking for. The final result is the Light Affection presented in this web site”

Lisa lives in Southern California and is the proud mother of two boys.

Light Affection also gives back, each month they select a charity to donate a portion of their sales to, which is the type of companies I love, and the type of companies I will purchase from. I always try to do what I can to help others, sure, it is not a lot, but every little bit helps.

Confession time, the night light I had made was of my father in law, in 2007 he passed away from Cancer, he truly is my hero, I miss the man with everything I am, and I know my husband does as well. So the light I really got for my husband, I have this plugged into the kitchen so we have our angel watching over us. We both was super impressed with how well this turned out, every detail is just like the image I sent to them.

I showed it to my husband plugged in, from looking at it plugged in, you would think they just took the image and placed it on the frame and put the light behind it. My husband made the remark “oh I thought they were going to carve it in” I unplugged it and handed it to him, he now seen it was carved.

Absolutely amazing, I really love how they got all the detail of the picture carved out, I could see myself purchasing one of the bigger lights, and so could my husband, he also said he could think of several other images he would love to have carved into these lights.

The image of the night light DOES NOT do this justice. I had a hard time getting a good picture of it with my camera.
