What mom does not like some sweet treats? This Mother’s Day think rum and cake, mix it all together and you got Tortuga Rum Cake. Okay it isn’t that easy, I wish it was because Tortuga Rum Cake is the BEST!

Recently I was able to sample some of these good eats; I did not want to share. Matter of fact I was having a bad day, so when the package came, I sat in the kitchen drowning my sorrows in some delicious treats. That was until my daughter walked in and seen me stuffing my face. Then I had to share, luckily my husband did not want to sample so that meant more for me. YUMMO!
Tortuga Rum Cakes are baked fresh daily in the Cayman Islands. They use only the finest natural ingredients. The only preservative they use is their 5-year-old oak barrel aged Tortuga Gold Rum, which is specially blended. The Tortuga Rum Company hand glazes each cake individually, then they vacuum pack them to give them at least a 6-month shelf life. If you freeze or refrigerate these cakes, they will hold up indefinitely!
The flavor of these cakes was outstanding, I am not sure how to describe it, and this was far from normal cake. It was like an angel/pound cake, but with more flavors. I wish I had me about 5 more, yup 5 more would get me through another break down.
Tortuga Rum Cakes come in 9 different flavors, I was able to sample the Coconut, and the Original and I loved them both, I would love to also sample the banana, and pineapple. I wonder if the pineapple would taste like pineapple upside down cake. MMMM My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
