The Sounds of Helicopters

Being home schoolers, I love taking Gillian to different events. During Halloween we went to a local state park and did a hay ride, and costume contest. After everything was done, they let us know they were bringing in a medic helicopter! Talk about neat, I never personally seen one of these up close.

They explained what everything was for, showed us where they kept everything, explained how long it takes to get to the hospital from where we were, and even explained how they got the patient in the chopper.

Medical air evacuation is one of the main ways to transport those that are critical and need immediate medical care, when our home burnt down all those years ago, they used the medical choppers to get my brother to the best hospital that specialized in his injuries.
