When the idea of going to school first came about, I had every intentions on doing classes online. I took the Compass test, went to see the Advisor. During this time I informed the advisor that I wanted to do this all online. She informed me this was not smart, she said the success rate for these classes are pretty much none.
I went ahead and signed up for classes on campus, and I was going to do them in the evening. After I did this I got to thinking, sometimes when trying to find work, most want those to work at night. So if I found a job (still looking) I would have to turn it down because of conflicting schedules.
I started to think some more, and hundreds of people do their schooling online, hell I home school my daughter. If I can school her, I should be able to school myself. If I find a job, I need to have the flexibility to go to school whenever, even if it is 3 o’clock in the morning.
So, today I went to campus, and had my classes changed to online. I got stuck seeing the same lady. She was not happy about me switching, she kept stressing the success rate, I was about to pull out my paper work about the over all success rate of the school… They only have a 7% graduation success rate, and 14% of the students transfer out.
As I told her if one is determined to succeed they will. I have the ball in my playing field what I decided to do with it is up to me, I am 32 years old my daughter will be 10 soon. I have to make something with myself NOW, even if that calls for busting my ass studying and making sure the grades stay up.

Good choice, you need to do what you feel comfortable with! I did a few online classes, especially during the winter months.. I had to problems.. I just had to go in take the quizzes and tests at the campus
Yea, I don’t think I will have an issue. This lady was just being a B… I was about to break out the facts if she didn’t just sign me up for online classes. Sometimes I wonder if places like this realize sometimes older people coming back to school, have to make school fit in their already busy lives. I already had to turn down a job because of school. I cannot afford to turn down another and if one came a long and I was having class yea, gotta make a living as well.
