Finding Health Insurance For The Family

After my husband lost his job, we also lost our health insurance. Granted most my adult life, I was without coverage, but I was freaked for my daughter’s sake. One fear of being a parent, is not having medical coverage for your children. Children tend to get sick a lot, and they also tend to get hurt often. So not having coverage for my daughter was not an option.

We did have the option of keeping our insurance through his old employer, however, for a family of three the company wanted over $700 a month. I mean with no income, there is no way we could afford the $700 a month. Not only that the insurance was not worth it. My husband had issues with his knee due to the work he was doing and his insurance covered a whole .47 cents NO LIE! I kept the “voided” check they sent to the doctor.

Anyhow, I had to find some sort of insurance that I could get for my daughter, so I searched google for cheap healthcare insurance. I was surprised with all the hits I got. You never know what is all out there unless you search.

Have you ever found yourself in a tight spot, and you wasn’t sure what to do?
