First Day Of School

Yesterday was our first day back to hitting the school work. Gillian got a bit lucky with the move, she got an extra month off schooling! Well, off the required schooling, she has been educated in other ways. She has found a new passion for rocks, thanks for my sister and her family. We walk up and down the road looking for neat fossils. She has become amazed at the joy of checking out rocks.

I mean who would have thought a child would get excited over rocks! Whenever we are out there walking she will say “I cannot believe how big of a thing looking for rocks is”! She cracks me up!!!

So yesterday was our first day back using Switched on Schoolhouse. I have to say I love the changes they have done to the program, I like the search feature they now have. Last year when Gillian got stumped, I would have to reread the whole section, to find the small part she needed to relook, to help her get the right answer.

I am looking forward to this year, she seems to be as well. How was your kiddos first day back to school?
