To Throw A Rug Down Or Not To Throw A Rug Down

When I was younger and living at home, mom always had throw rugs. I hated vacuuming, it always seemed like the corner of the rug would get sucked into the vacuum. Talk about a pain in the behind, or there would be a fray and in the vacuum it went. I didn’t have fun trying to untangle the yarn from the brush. Mom would always say the rug helped set the room off. Well, fine you vacuum! Now that I am older I have to agree rugs help set a room off and make them unique.

I am thinking about getting one of those hot pink shaggy rugs for Gillian’s bedroom. I think having a small rug in her room would be great, it would give her an area to lay down and play with her monster high dolls. Plus, I love how the rugs feel on my feet. I of course would have to ask her, I mean she is old enough to give me some ideas in decorating her room. I think she will love the idea though, because she loves pink.

Here I go again day dreaming about my dream house. Maybe I will set my dream home up with that 70’s look! What you think, do you think rugs help set off a room?
