When NOT To Go Shopping

When we lived in the South, the stores we shopped at were pretty limited. I mean I had Kroger, Wal-Mart, and a local store to shop at. So getting in and out of the store was not an issue. NOW I am close to a college town, and shopping is insane. Well, that and the fact I went on Labor Day, may not have been that smart.

It seems like people here, like to stand in the aisle and have a family gathering. I was getting so pissed! It took me 3 hours in the store to get $200 in food. NO LIE! I went to the meat department, big mistake, about 3 carts lined in front of the beef/pork section, and just sat there talking for a good 10 minutes.

It seemed like every aisle I went down people wanted to talk, this was worse than black Friday at my old local Wal-Mart! I finally told my daughter I couldn’t do it no more, and we wrapped it up and got out of the store. Now I get to go to a smaller store, but cost more today so that I am not fighting to get to the meat!

I never recall that store being so busy, I mean I did grow up in this area, so it wasn’t the first time I went into that store, but it will be the last time I go in there on a holiday!
