Do You Remember Field’s Day?

Do you remember field’s days? I remember going to the track which was a few blocks from school, and having all sorts of fun events. I even remember winning a few ribbons! We had different races to see who was faster, and the tug of war events. The days with no worries in the world. How I miss being a child sometimes, kids today have no idea how lucky they are, they have a lot more things to keep them entertained. I know when we were growing up if we were not in school, doing chores, or sleeping, we were outside.

One thing I liked about field’s day, was the keepsakes, I still have a few of those ribbons I won! Field day products are great keepsakes, they help keep our childhood memory a live. With being home schoolers we don’t do much of a field day. However, now that we are back in Michigan and I have all my nieces and nephew back in our lives, I am going to plan a field day for this Summer. Who said field day was only for public school kids!

I think family reunions would be a great way to have a field day, get shirts with different family names, and some ribbons. We could do things like a pie eating contest, or maybe a balloon dart like game. It would be so much fun!

What are some things you do during family events? Competitions are always fun.
