They say no child left behind, but what about the children that get lost in the court systems? I was once one of those children lost in the system, now someone close and dear to me is. When does the courts really start protecting our children. If you are a parent going through difficult times with the other parent of your child, please, please work things out the best you can for the child.
Let me explain how a court system is playing with the mind of a young girl, they say no bullying allow but when does the courts stop with the games?
A child has threatened to harm herself, the courts look the other way, grant full custody to the parent, because this parent has more money, why because they are claiming fraud on the state, thus giving them a lot of money to pay people off… This person has a record a mile long, the child ends up in the hospital, due to trying to harm herself…
The doctor states it is in the child’s best interest to be with the other parent. The judge doesn’t see it that way, the child is living in hell because of this parent that would rather see her placed in a home, then with the other parent…
This parent has made several false police reports, threatened to kill certain people, yet nothing is done about it. Another party threatens harm on themselves to make things better for this child… the courts still see nothing wrong. They simply say their is nothing they can do…
This child is 15 years old, when will she have a say… when will the courts stop fucking with her live, when will the courts take ALL information into account…
If we are going to have a court system for children, we need one that works, we need one that cannot be paid off, we need one that will stop and look at the big picture, we keep saying no child left behind in the school systems, we keep saying no bullying… but who is the ones leaving our children behind, who is the ones bullying and causing harm to our children. THE DAMN COURT SYSTEMS.
Judges, we you get elected into office because we feel you can do the best job, but you are failing the people that need you the most THE CHILDREN.
I am so sorry that you are caught up in this terrible situation. I was an advocate in a Crisis Center for 8 years and heard many stories like yours. I agree that the court system is sometimes blind to justice! Do you have CASA workers in your state? If so then contact them, if not get a hold of your local crisis center and see what kinds of help they might be able to give you. E mail me if you want to correspond outside of this forum.
