One thing I dislike is paying high prices for auto coverage for a maybe. I know that having insurance puts my mind at ease, and I know there is a reason why I must pay for those what ifs. However, I do not have to pay an arm and a leg for insurance. When we moved back to Michigan I called to see if I could get insurance cheaper, I was keeping my carrier but the price between the state of TN and the state of MI DOUBLED.
When I was given the new price I wanted to throw up, I went from paying $57 a month for full coverage, to paying $105 for full coverage. As soon as I got off the phone with the insurance company I got online and searched for free auto policy quotes. However, the joke was on me, NO ONE could beat the $105, matter of fact all quotes were almost over $300 a month.
Then they wonder why people do not have auto insurance it’s just to high. Thankfully there is affordable car insurance out there, you just need to know where to look. If you are searching for auto insurance check in with your employer, you maybe able to get discount auto insurance, I know several places will do what they can to make sure their employees get great discounts.
I will be glad when Michigan gets rid of the mandatory medical coverage on auto insurance policy holders, this will help drop the price of auto insurance so people can actually afford it. I know one thing full coverage will always stay on my vehicle, you never know when something will happen, and I am far from rich, so the coverage will help use replace our vehicle.
