T-fal’s Healthy Summer Challenge Tip #1

Weight loss T-fal

I have jumped on board with a few other bloggers in the T-fal Healthy Summer Challenge. This is post number one of five that I will be bringing you. In these posts, I will bring you tips I have learned, resolutions I have planned, and healthy lifestyle changes my family has been doing.

If you have been following The Neat Things in Life, then you know I have struggled with my weight all my life, and you know it wasn’t until just recently, that I decided to go full force in doing something about it…

With that being said the first tip of the challenge…

Tip #1 for T-fal’s Healthy Summer Challenge, drink more water!

It wasn’t until recently, that this tip really sunk (no pun intended) in to me… I have had a few friends tell me water is a must when losing weight, but I wasn’t a fan of water… With me hitting this weight loss head on, I dropped everything I once drank and switched to nothing but water!

Although, they say you should drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day, the real number will amaze you. You should technically drink half your body weight in ounces! I just learned this myself, while I am not to the point of drinking half my weight in ounces I do try to get in 88 to 120 ounces a day.

I have noticed a huge difference by doing so, and I can tell with the number on the scales. Did you know 60% of your body weight should be water? No worries if you didn’t I only just learned this as well.

When you give your body the water it needs daily not only will you see it on the scales, you will also feel it in everything you do, and you will also see it in your complexion. Don’t believe me? I challenge you to drink nothing but water for one week, and find out for yourself, remember to drink at least 80 ounces a day, and if you drink it cold your metabolism will be happier, drinking it warm will make you feel full.

I wrote this blog post while participating in the T-Fal Healthy Summer Challenge blogging program for a chance to win a T-fal ActiFry or additional cookware.
