The Dougy Center Donation

Awhile back I did a post for Mom Central, my compensation for this post was $50 gift card for GlobalGiving.org. Today, as I was going through my laptop bag I found the gift card and realized I never made a donation.  So I went to the site, looked around and found a group called the Dougy Center. After reading what this group was about I learned it was for those who lost parents, siblings or close friends in a fire.

With today being the day we laid my brother to rest 24 years ago after he struggled to come back from our home burning down, I new this was the group I was going to donate this too.

I believe all things happen for a reason, and I believe my brother sent me my daughter. The reason being her birth year and her social security number have all of my brother’s birthday in it. Yes, I maybe a bit weird when it comes to all that, but as I said before I believe in things like this with a passion.

Anyways, I went to go make the $50 donation, and when I went to put in the numbers… the last three matched with today’s date 01 is my daughter’s birthday!

It is amazing how much numbers reflect on our everyday lives.
