Lies They Teach In School – by HERB REICH

Lies Taught in schoolIn our Skyhorse Publishing review series, we will be reviewing several of their interesting and unique books. I recently finished Lies They Teach In School. I initially wanted to read the book because of my often skeptic approach to historical events. The book offered much more than mere theories or possibilities, but hard facts backed by real evidence. Lies They Teach In School disproves many common historical, political and cultural beliefs we are taught throughout our lives.

The book covers a variety of interesting topics. Many facts that the majority have long perceived as common knowledge are within the book’s context. This book also sheds light on the many modern misconceptions within society today. Most people think George Washington was our first U.S. President, but as explained in this book, he was well behind several others. Lies They Teach You In School is a fresh and well researched piece that has the ability to open your eyes to many false truths that people consider to be factual data.

If you’re anything like me and take what you are taught with some skepticism, then this book will surely satisfy your hunger for knowledge and truth. When reading this book a famous quote with an unknown author came to mind; “History is written by the victors”. This is an infallible truth in our world, and The Lies They Teach In School is a very good example of it. I highly recommend Herb Reich’s book to all my fellow seekers of truth out there.
