Diet or Not To Diet

How many of you have been on a diet? How many of you have failed that diet? I can answer both with a yes I have been on a diet, yes I have failed a diet. It wasn’t until recently I learned why I kept failing. Although, while on these diets I lost weight, I couldn’t for the life of me keep it off. Once I was done with the diet, I would not only gain the weight back I had just lost, I would also gain back more!

Talk about depressing, talk about wanting to give up on everything! So the question is diet or not to diet?

Over the past few months, I have been learning a lot! When I say a lot I mean a lot. I have discovered diets are a joke and I wasn’t failing those diets. Those diets set me up to fail.

How did they set me up to fail? They didn’t also educate me with the knowledge I needed to know, so that I never went back into my bad habits. One should never go on a diet; however, they should learn to eat a healthy diet.

What is the difference in going on a diet, and eating a healthy diet?

A diet is something someone does to drop weight fast, often by starving themselves. After they have lost the needed weight they go right back to their “normal” eating habits. Guess what then happens? They gain all that weight back and some because they never got the proper education a long with said diet.

Now if you were to eat a healthy diet, you would never have to worry about going on a diet. Our body needs certain vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to function properly. If we don’t give it what it needs, it will make us FAT. So by learning to eat a healthy diet, you can make your body happy, and your body will make you happy.

Here are a few things to throw out the door and a few to bring in the door…

Processed Foods – Out the door, these are filled with a bunch of fillers that make your body sick.

Soda – Out the door,  empty calories and the amount of sugar is insane. If you want some flavor in your drink, add a little fruit.

Veggies – In the door, your body will thank you for this one.

Water – In the door, I cannot express enough how much your body needs this… It needs it to not only get all the nutrients from the foods you eat to certain parts of the body, it also needs it to flush out the bad things you eat.

So instead of going on a diet, learn how to eat a healthy diet. Then you will never diet again.
