Low Carb Pita Bread and Recipe!

One of my biggest weaknesses with trying to lose weight isn’t the sweets, but the breads. I love bread! Whether is be bread you use for sandwiches, crackers, rolls, or pizza dough. I love it all! We have been trying to go healthier when we make those purchases. I stick to whole wheat and products that are low in carbs. Have you ever tried the low carb pita bread?

It is super yummy! I like taking them and making little personal pizzas with them. This way the family can make their pizza the way they like it.

What you need:

Pizza Sauce

Low-fat mozzarella cheese

favorite pizza toppings (we like doing lots of veggies)

Package of low carb pita bread

Preheat the oven to 350. Take your pita bread and separate it so you have two. Spread your pizza sauce on the part that was facing inward. Then put your toppings on and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes. You want to make sure the cheese has melted.

Not only are these mini pizzas quick and easy, they’re also easier on the waistline.

When I first made these for my sister she snarled her nose, said her and the kids wouldn’t like the pita bread. After making them they wanted more, she discovered they loved them! If you’re afraid you won’t like the taste of the pita bread, give it a shot you may find out you like it better then what you normally would use.
