Saying Goodbye to Rafflecopter

I have a love hate relationship with rafflecopter. At times I love it and prefer it over anything else, then at times I hate it and wish I would have never started using it. With all the changes being made to the platform and the fact it’s down so much. I thought it was in the best interest of my readers, and the companies I work with to switch back to the old fashion way.

I know this maybe an in convenience to some, and for that I am sorry.

I had to do this for many reasons, and I think in the end it was for the best. I currently have a few giveaways still on rafflecopter and they will end within the next 5 days. After that I will no longer use the rafflecopter platform.

Later down the road I may look into other giveaway entry methods, but for now I will be drawing winners with the and the winner is plugin.

We are one month away from 2013 and I plan to have lots of awesome reviews and giveaways coming at you, so be sure to subscribe to the weekly newsletter to be updated on all the giveaways.

Comments

  1. Bummer. I actually like rafflecopter, then again, you are using it from the backend and I’m not. :(

    • Whenever I would go to draw winners something on it was down or broke. To be fair to everyone who enters I have to have a way to draw a winner and verify without having to wait on the platform to give me the information I need. I liked it and I didn’t… This will also give my loyal readers a chance to win.

  2. Thank you so much, I hate rafflecopter.

  3. Of all the form entry methods available, Rafflecopter is my least favorite. There are some good ones (at least from the entrants standpoint) so hopefully you’ll find one that works for you.

    • I have a entered at a few I wasn’t a fan of, they don’t register the entries properly. I think out off all the methods, I think the best for stability and checking to make sure they were done right, is comments. I know this takes more time, and some are not fans of it. However, I need to make sure for my readers and the companies that the giveaways are ran as fair as possible and as stable as possible. I know this will become an in convenience to some, and for that I am sorry. Good luck with the giveaways you enter!
