5 weeks with Journey Gym

I am just now going into 5 weeks with the Journey Gym. Video will be coming soon I promise! Let’s get to some details though. When I first started the 70 day challenge, I wasn’t making it past 5 to 10 minutes at a time, I slowly got myself up to 15 minute workouts, and the first few weeks were a bit rough, now that I am going into week 5 I am able to workout for the full 20 minutes.

I do a mix of things, I have followed the workout DVD’s a few different times, however, those are a bit of a challenge for me still, so I stick with some basics. I do jumping jacks to get my heart rate going, then I follow with a lot of steps, squats, curls, and back to jumping jacks, I keep this going for my 20 minutes. I will often trick my body and do some reverse workouts, for example, if I start with jumping jacks one time around, the following I will do squats first.

I make sure I have me a tall glass of water, and I do have to stop for a minute and take a break, but so far I am rocking it!

I am still trying to get the nerve up to get some videos up, that and I am needing my husband’s help.

Since starting the journey gym on the 11th of February, I have lost a total of 2.2 pounds BUT… I have went from 61.9% body fat to 59.3% body fat, and 28.6% muscle mass to 32.1% muscle mass, so while I have only lost a little over 2 pounds, I have gained muscle, I have also lost half an inch off both thighs, and an inch from my bust area.

So while I was off to a slow start I am making awesome progress, and when I am done with the 70 day challenge, I am going to keep going. I need to get to my goal weight of 170, and I have a LONG way to go. One day at a time, one step at a time, I will meet the goals.
