Put Up Those Ski Boots

skiing

Past few days in Tennessee have been so nice! We have been all walking around in shorts, I cannot wait until we have no more thirty degree weather. I can handle the fifties! Now that spring is here, these last few snow storms will soon vanish and we can put up those Ski Boots!

How many of you enjoy skiing in the winter months?

Let me tell you a story I have been skiing ONE time. Growing up in Michigan means lots of snow, and during youth group we would always do fun things with the Church. One time we all piled in a bus and went to the Ski resorts in Cadillac, Michigan. I had never been skiing before in my life, I was about 14 years old, and I decided I was going to stick with the bunny slop. You know the one for the little kids, hah. Well on the way up I was so scared my ski’s got STUCK in the snow as I was getting off the ski lift.

Talk about embarrassing. That minute I decided skiing wasn’t my cup of tea, I took off the ski’s right there and walked back to the cabin, where I stayed until it was time to leave.

While I think if I could figure out the proper way to ski I would love it, but I am to scared to try it again, all I can see when I think about it, is being stuck in the snow on the lift.

Have you skied before? What did you like best, or dislike about it?
