Stop Ants Before They Start: TERRO Liquid Ant Bait Review

terro liquid ant bait review

Here in Southwestern Tennessee, sweet eating ants are a big problem from early spring until late fall. I’ve used Terro’s indoor liquid ant baits in the past with good results, but Terro recently sent me a bundle package of indoor and outdoor ant baits for review.

Terro Indoor Liquid Ant Baits

Once sweet eating ants have entered your home, they can be very difficult to get rid of. If you’re a pet owner like myself, then you may have problems with ants trying to share your dog’s or cat’s food dish. I’ve used Terro’s indoor ant baits several times in the past few years, and they have outperformed every other ant control method that I’ve tried.

Thanks to the indoor traps, I’ve been able to control my indoor ant problem successfully. When I spot a few ants in the house, I place a Terro liquid ant bait nearby, and it doesn’t take long before the ants are history. The indoor baits work really well, but I haven’t figured out a way to stop it before it starts, until now.

Terro Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits

I already knew how well Terro’s indoor ant baits worked before I received them, but I had never tried their much larger outdoor bait traps. I was excited to check out the product, and it was really easy to get outdoor ant control in place.

I got the trap ready inside, and because of their safe formula, I didn’t have to worry about fumes or harsh chemicals. The bait inside each trap is just liquid sugar and borax, so it’s perfectly safe to handle.

I began by separating the trap’s pieces , and then removed the peel away lid from the bait container. After pouring the syrupy liquid into the trap, I placed the bait container back on top of the trap. There are tiny slots beneath the lid on each side. The ants enter the trap at these points and eat the bait. I’m sure you already know what happens next. Bye bye ants.

I took the trap outside, and placed it in the grass near my driveway. I’ve noticed a few hills in the middle of my concrete driveway already, and it’s only April. After taking the two included stakes apart, I used them to secure the trap into place. It was that simple, and now I finally have an effective way to stop the ants before they start. If a few do manage to sneak by, I still have my trusty Terro indoor ant baits to stop them.

If you or someone you know has a problem with ants, give Terro’s liquid ant baits a try. They really work.

I could use the TERRO® Mosquito Repellent. It would make being on my back deck much more pleasant.

I work in public relations for TERRO; thanks for sharing this information, Jammie! I I do want to point out one thing regarding the Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits; you actually don’t have to peel off the lid and pour the liquid ant bait into the bait station. You can simply remove the stakes from underneath the cup and push the cup down and twist it. The foil seal under the cup will be punctured and the liquid bait will drip into the reservoir in the base. You can view the instructions here: http://terro.com/products/outdoor-ant-baits.

    Cheers!
    Carolyn
