Verizon Wireless Accessory Guide

I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassadors program and have been provided with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

5 Must-Have Verizon Wireless Accessories for 2013

Samsung Galaxy Portable Battery Pack

The Galaxy S3 was one of the top-selling smartphones during 2012, and two of my close family members use this device. My husband and his niece both have this phone, and the Samsung Galaxy portable battery pack would be a life saver for them during long geocache trips and outdoor activities. The pack allows you to take 9000 mAh of power everywhere you go. It can fully charge a Samsung tablet, and it can charge many Samsung phones up to 3 times while on the go.

Fitbit Zip Wireless Activity Tracker

As an Ambassador I often get to also check out some accessories. A few months back Verizon sent me the Fitbit, I fell in love with its ability to track my daily activity, and log my calorie intake. Although I already have this nifty little device, I wouldn’t pass up the chance to share this accessory with other friends and family members that are trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I particularly like how your activity progress is synced automatically over a wireless connection.

WeMo Switch

Would you like your appliances, lights and other household electronics to automatically come on based on a schedule? Who wouldn’t, right? The WeMo switch allows iOS users to do exactly that. If I could give one Verizon accessory to Apple users, the WeMo is my number one pick. Suppose you usually wake up at 6:00 AM, and watch the news before you start your day. With the WeMo, you could program the TV to come on 5 minutes after you’re alarm clock. That will give you just enough time to roll out of bed, and pour yourself a hot cup of automated coffee.

AR Parrot Drone

The AR Parrot Drone is a mobile accessory that every Verizon customer can enjoy. With support for iOS and Android, almost everyone with a smartphone can enjoy this fun accessory. You can pilot the remote controlled quad-copter over scenic landscapes from your mobile device. Imagine the family-fun you could have with this one. I’d love to take the AR Parrot Drone along on one of our geocache trips. We could get a birds-eye view of some of those hard-to-find cache hiding spots.

Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale

I’ve already talked about how much I love the Fitbit, and I think this would be the perfect Verizon accessory to go with it. The Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale extends the functionality of the Fitbit by logging your weight-loss progress. You can also set specific weight-loss goals based on set periods of time. I think this accessory would allow me to get even more weight-loss benefits from the Fitbit device.

From home automation, to smart weight-loss solutions and beyond, Verizon Wireless has so many accessories that it’s hard to choose just one. The online Verizon shop is filled with all the latest in cases, audio accessories and more, but these devices are 5 must-haves for mobile users in 2013.
