Theater For The Talented Young Children

This children’s theater in Walnut Creek gives all ages the excitement of actually being in a theater show and learning the other skills that such performances require. The programs are designed for any level of actor, including those who have never acted before. The Standing Ovations semester-long School Year Programs and his Theater Camps offer musical comedy training to children from seven years old going into 2nd grade through 17 years old going into 12th grade for the basic camps, and 12 years old or going into 7th grade through 17 years old for the Teen Camps.

The Summer Camp is for ages seven through 13, with an advanced program for teens 13 through 16+. Those camps are conducted separately but come together for special presentations. Every year has an exciting original SUMMER MUSICAL with three different sessions, each lasting for three weeks. The show changes with each session, so some campers attend all three sessions every summer as some of them prepare for this type of career in the future. Camp in 2013 will be at Walnut Creek’s Grace Presbyterian Church, which is conveniently located just a few minutes off the freeway.

The numerous talents that your child will develop and have fun with include a speaking role in one of the productions, learning movement and dance for musical theater, learning techniques for auditions, taking part in makeup and costume design while also developing character development, self-esteem, leadership and many more desirable attributes. There is also the fun of a Talent Show, Carnival, dress up days, pizza days and other activities.
