1000 Facts About The Bible

I have never personally read the Bible completely, I have read bits and pieces of the Bible, matter of fact I have a hard time believing what is in the Bible, because it has been changed and written by man. Do I believe in God, you bet, do I believe everything I have read in the Bible, no.

Oftentimes, as things pass through one person to the next things change. I could tell a friend that I had lost 10 pounds and by the time it made it through everyone and back to me, they could have me gaining 10 instead of losing. Bits and pieces always get changed or mixed up, and while I know a lot of people look at the Bible as what happened back in the day. I honestly look at the Bible as a story.

However, just because I personally view it as a story, doesn’t mean it is a story, but it has changed to much through out the years for me to believe what it says. Does the Bible teach one how to be a better person with the morals within the story, I would have to say yes.

Recently, I had a chance to check out 1,000 Facts About The Bible. I was excited to check out this book, since I do have a hard time believing what is in the Bible is what really happened all those years ago.

I loved the illustrations through-out the book, and I am a fan that it’s a National Geographic book. I don’t follow a certain religion, I do believe in higher power and God. Whether you’re Jewish, Christian, or have the same beliefs as I do, this is a great book to better understand certain things in the Bible.

Since I was not around back in the day, I cannot claim the information in this book is 100% facts, however, it does come from a reliable source and it allow one to better understand the Bible and gives one an idea of what happened years ago.

Do you believe in the Bible? What one thing would you like to know if it’s fact from the Bible?

No, not really. Just as Jesus spoke in parables, I feel that much of scripture, even in the Old Testament, is in the form of parables, too.

  2. Yes I do!

  4. Melissa B. says
