BIC Fight For Your Write

Summer is officially over for a large part of kids in the US, many went back to school today, and with technology taking over, BIC is fighting to get the word out on how important writing by hand is to our youth. BIC is on a mission to save hand writing with their Fight For Your Write campaign.

The Fight For Your Write campaign is to educate parents, teachers and students how important writing by hand is and to get more people involved. BIC is providing parents and educators with activities and information to help inspire and encourage our children to write more. If you haven’t already, I ask that you take the Fight For Your Write pledge, for every pledge BIC gets they will donate a pen or pencil to students in need across the country through their partnership with Adopt a Classroom.

With being a homeschooling family our main focus is reading, writing and math. While our daughter doesn’t have the best hand writing we know that we as parents must make her focus and encourage her to write more often. One way we like to inspire our daughter to write, is by giving her reports on things that interest her. While she uses the Internet to research, she uses a good old BIC pencil and paper to take notes and to make her report.

BIC also knows how writing is a very critical learning tool for our children and they’re committed to make sure that every student is given that important tools they need to succeed in life through their partnership with Adopt a Classroom.

10pk Evolution Pencil

While some of us take a simple pencil or pen for granted, there’s several children out there that would love to have the simple tool to write their thoughts down. I personally love writing on paper and even though I have certain apps at my disposal for planning out bills, making my grocery lists, and saving recipes. I am one that likes to also write it down. However, I am also a pen snob. I have to be able to feel the pen when I am writing, I don’t like a pen that doesn’t write smooth.

Thankfully, BIC makes some awesome pens that allows me to be the pen snob that I am. Recently, I was sent a wide range of products to test out for myself.

BIC Fight For Your Write

The products I received were as followed:

BIC® Xtra-Fun pencil, the only #2 pencil with two-toned color barrels.
BIC® Xtra-Craze™ Mechanical Pencil
BIC® Brite Liner® Erasable Highlighter
BIC® Cristal® Stylus
BIC Atlantis® Ultra Comfort pen.

BIC has never failed me when it comes to their products. They’re always coming out with new and improved products to make mine and my daughter’s writing fun. I love that their pencils are more colorful, it allows my daughter to write with her favorite color. Sure it shouldn’t matter what color the pencil is, however, I have learned I am more apt to write if it’s using a writing product I like.

I love the Atlantis Ultra Comfort pen and the Cristal Stylus, they both are the perfect smoothness for me, not to smooth where the ink is a wet mess, but smooth enough for me to feel the pen flow. The stylus is a good add-on, while I don’t use a stylus often I like being able to have one at arms reach.

This year we will be doing more book reports, which means more research and writing. The Erasable highlighters are awesome. I love to highlight, and we will be using these a lot this year, when showing our daughter how to capture important parts of her research so she can easily find it at a later time.

BIC wants to give one of my readers the same products my family received for review. To enter simply take the Fight For Your Write pledge and follow rafflecopter below.
