Bad Moms A Must See

On Thursday July 21st, my family was invited to see a screener of Bad Moms. Let me first say, I love a good movie that will have me laughing through the whole movie and it had been a long time since I have watched a movie that not only kept my attention but also kept me laughing my behind off. I had only heard of Bad Moms a few weeks before I received the invite, this was a movie my daughter had seen a preview to and wanted to see it.

Bad Moms stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Annie Mumolo, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Christina Applegate, so you already know before watching that this was going to be a good belly buster.

Synopsis:

In this new comedy from the writers of THE HANGOVER, Amy has a seemingly perfect life – a great marriage, over-achieving kids, beautiful home and a career. However she’s over-worked, over-committed and exhausted to the point that she’s about to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other over-stressed moms on a quest to liberate themselves from conventional responsibilities – going on a wild, un-mom-like binge of long overdue freedom, fun and self-indulgence – putting them on a collision course with PTA Queen Bee Gwendolyn and her clique of devoted perfect moms.

To be honest, I didn’t think the preview was that funny and to me and my husband the movie looked like it was going to be boring. Trust me when I say that this movie was far from boring! I kid you not I laughed almost through the whole movie and after we left the theater we both agreed that was something we needed to end the night.

We attempt to monitor what our daughter watches and she hasn’t seen Hangovers, however, with her being almost 15 we didn’t think the movie would be that bad for her. We were wrong! I wouldn’t recommend this movie for a young girl, a lot of sexual references. I am sure not more than what the young kids are hearing from school, but more than what our child hears.

I don’t want to give any spoilers to the movie, if you haven’t gone and seen this yet I HIGHLY recommend a trip to the theater for a girls night out. If the movies isn’t a thing for you, make sure to watch it when it comes out to DVD, because this by far was the best movie I have seen thus far in 2016. Especially, if you are a parent, because the movie has a lot of true meanings and takes the shame out of being a bad mom. Even though we are moms and we want the best for our children, we still need to make time for US and even though we sometimes neglect the needs of our children that really doesn’t make us a bad mom, it just makes us human.

In life we will come across parents that seem to be perfect, but as we should all know, there is no perfect person in this world and until we actually walk in another moms footsteps we as moms have no right to judge or assume because we never know what that other mom maybe going through in their everyday life.

So if you want a movie to make you laugh your butt off through the whole movie, this is most definitely a must see.
