It has been a little awhile, okay so a long while since I last blogged about my weight. Yea, I know I said I was going to keep it up, keep blogging it that way, I couldn’t hide from it. Truth be told, I am a coward when it comes to my weight. I hate the scales, the scales hate me… Whenever I see that damn number go up, I get depressed, and I shut down.

I know shutting down is not the way to do it, I should get mad as hell and work twice as hard, but quitting is so much easier. I was recently, introduced to a new weight loss pill called Slimple.

Slimple is supposed to help control your appetite and we all know if we eat less we will lose weight correct. Problem is some people eat because they are bored, or because they are depressed. I am one of those people that eat when I am depressed.

Slimple is the FIRST weight loss supplement that has a product called MaCoca in it.

What is MaCoca?

MaCoca™ is derived from the coca leaf plant. It was first cultivated in Huanca Prieto in northern Peru by the indigenous people of the Andes Mountains more than four thousand years ago. A high altitude plant, it can be found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Traditionally, the coca leaf, when consumed in its raw form, has been used for a number of its medicinal and nutritional benefits ranging from alleviation of hunger, and dehydration, to combating fatigue and as an antidote to altitude sickness.

About a month ago, I started taking the Slimple pill, you know me I will try just about anything to see if I can see result. Sure enough, I started seeing results on the scale after the first week of taking these pills. After the first few days, I saw my appetite slow down. I started throwing the food away that I got because I simply could not eat another bite. I also, noticed while taking these pills, I became more active; I got up and moved more.

I can tell a difference in my upper stomach, it looks a lot smaller. The numbers on the scale are at a loss of 7 pounds… and to be honest, I have not been working out, as I should have been. Now you DO NOT need to work out, but like everything to see bigger results you need to bust your behind to get them. I also was only taking one pill a day; the recommended dose is twice daily.

Over all break down on Slimple:

I found Slimple to be just as it is described to be, I would not count on Slimple to drop you to a swimsuit perfect body. In order to get the best results, I recommend working out. I personally would not use this as a get skinny fast pill. I found this to be the best thing that I have tried to date that suppressed my appetite, I had no hunger feelings, and I really ate less. The price of the Slimple I personally think it a bit high for a one-month supply; however taking one pill a day, would make the price be about $30 a month since you get 60 pills in a bottle, which is worth it!

With only taking one pill a day, I still was more active, still ate less, and still seen results. I may have seen larger results if I was taking the 2 pills a day; however, I do not want to see large results extremely fast, that has me worried I will gain everything back PLUS some.

I do recommend Slimple to those that have issues with over eating.

Purchase:

You can purchase Slimple on their website for $59.95, they also have deals on their facebook page every so often. If you are unsure, whether or not this product will work you can always get a free sample to try. Slimple also stands behind their product and has a 100% money back guarantee, so you really have nothing to lose by trying these other then weight :)

Facebook

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, I am just another person struggling with her weight and trying to battle the demon one pound at a time. I did receive a month supply of this product to give my honest opinion… The above is only MY honest opinion, since we are all different your results will vary. I received no other form of payment for this review.

When you hear the word “Chia” what is the first thing that comes to your mind? The first thing that comes to my mine is this cute little thing.

However, did you know that Chia seeds are extremely healthy for you! Yup that is right, these little seeds that most people heard about from a “pet that grew hair” is another super-food! Chia seeds are loaded with Omega 3’s, Magnesium, Protein, Fiber, Antioxidants, and Calcium.

I was recently contacted to check out a company called Health Warrior. Two great friends, and former college athletes, Nick Morris and Dan Gluck, started Health Warrior. These two men started a chia daily. They first started with the daily dose of two tablespoons, which lead to four or more very quickly. Not only did these two friends find they had more energy, but they were also more focused. Nick ended up losing 20 pounds while doing his Chia daily.

Nick and Dan, learned that not all chia seeds were the same, the quality of the seeds varied. To get the full benefits these seeds offer, you need a good quality seed. So this is when Health Warrior began.

Currently Health Warrior only sells Chia Seeds; however, very soon they will also be selling another product. The Peanut Butter Chocolate Chia Bar is only 100 calories, and super good. I am in love with these bars!

The primary benefits, in taking the Warrior chia is to, sustained energy, increases satiation, better hydration, and increased focus.

What I love about the Chia Seeds:

I love that these little seeds have no taste, so I can add them to anything; my favorite way to include these seeds into my daily routine, is to add them to my strawberry smoothie! One of the recommended ways is also to add them to your water. I have a hard time making sure my body gets all the nutrients it should be getting daily. So the chia seeds are awesome. They assure me I am getting the fibers, proteins, and omega 3’s my body needs, to help reduce the number on the scales. I mean check out all the nutrients are in ONE 16 ounce bag…

And… Don’t get me started on the bars, one of my weak spots when losing weight is sweets. I love my sweets. The peanut butter chocolate chia bar not only gave me more energy, but it also soothed my sweet tooth.

What I disliked about Chia Seeds:

I only noticed one thing I really didn’t like about the seeds, and that is since they’re so small they get stuck in your teeth. BUT this is not the companies doing… it is just how chia seeds are so there is no way around that one dislike.

Over all the Warrior Chia Seeds, make a great addition to any ones daily routine.

Purchase:

You can purchase a 16-ounce bag of Warrior Chia Seeds on their website, or Amazon for $14.99. Soon you will also be able to purchase the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chia Bars. By the end of the year, both products will be available to purchase in selected stores.

Connect With Health Warrior:

#1 This is the most important one, DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST

After sleeping for 6 to 8 hours your body needs food within the first hour of waking up, this will help you give your metabolism a jump-start, and stop you from bingeing later during the day. Drinking coffee DOES NOT COUNT as breakfast. Your morning meal should be part protein, fat, and whole wheat. This will keep hungry down, as well as boost your energy.

#2 Eat enough to please your body

If you are looking to lose weight do not cut your calories to low, this will have a negative effect on your body. You may still eat the foods you enjoy, just in smaller amounts, and cut out the candy, soda, and potato chips. Doing this will help you see a difference on the scales as well. Stay away from the processed foods as much as possible.

#3 Eat more often

By eating more often, you help keep your blood sugar stable. Whenever your blood sugar drops to low, you will find yourself wanting to eat a lot. So if you keep those levels in check you are less likely to over eat, you will have more energized, and your metabolism will start on track. When you try to go for long periods without eating your metabolism slows down, and this will have a negative impact on your weight loss efforts.

#4 Make sure you have protein with EVERY meal

Studies show that when you eat more protein throughout the day you will lose weight WITHOUT having to cut calories. Including protein with every meal will also help in reducing your appetite. Since it takes longer to digest protein, you will have the full feeling for longer. For example, have a protein snack bar; make sure it has 12 or more grams of protein.

You ever wonder how to boost your metabolism? It was not long ago, and I was wondering the same thing. I was not eating much, but it seemed I was fighting to drop the pounds. Did you know that by walking a bit more throughout the day, or switching to diet soda could have a big impact on your metabolism over time? By doing this, you will help your body burn calories faster.

7 Tips To Help You Burn More Calories:

1) Eat Smaller Portions More Often

Studies show, that those who eat small meals every 2 to 4 hour keep their metabolism burning faster, then when they was eating larger meals fewer times a day. By eating small amounts throughout the day, you are constantly giving your body the fuel it needs. This means no more feeling sluggish.

2) Drink More Water (Make sure it’s COLD)

Drinking cold water makes your body expend more calories, to bring the water you are consuming up to your bodies temperature. In addition, water will help keep you hydrated!

3) When Working-out Use Weights

One great thing about working out with weights is it will boost your metabolism in many ways. This will help you build muscle tissue, and guess what that means, that means you will burn more calories. That is not all, by working out with weights it will allow you to keep burning calories at a nice rate when you are resting.

4) Move Your Body More

Everything little movement you do burns calories. The more small movements throughout the day, add up, and can make a nice difference on the scales. Some ideas to help you move more while doing normal things during the day include:

When watching TV tap your feet

During commercial breaks stand up and stretch

Pace back and forth while you are cooking

When shopping back farther away

When on the phone sway from side to side

Chew gum

All these are different ways to keep your body moving, the more you move the more you burn.

5) Add Spices When Cooking

When you cook, try adding some cayenne pepper to the meal, even if it is a small amount to help speed your metabolism. A half a teaspoon of cinnamon per day will also boost the metabolism along with keeping those sugar levels normal. I like to add cinnamon to my oatmeal in the mornings.

6) Make Sure You Eat More Protein

Protein takes longer to break down; this means you burn more calories. Since protein takes longer for you to digest this helps to stabilize the blood sugar for longer periods. This will also help you from over eating later. By eating protein with every meal including your snacks, this will help to increase the amount of calories you burn every day.

7) Eat Those Healthy Fats

By including healthy fats, such as olive oil, flaxseed oil, avocados, salmon, seeds, and nuts. You increase the amount of calories your body will burn.

Well, I know it has been awhile since I have last posted about my journey. I have not got off track, I have been working out, and logging most of my calorie intake. I have got it down packed to where I can almost tell you to the t what all I have consumed and the calorie amount. I am still having issues with the scales, it doesn’t want to move, and this does start to depress me, because I know what I have been doing.

Thank goodness I am seeing the numbers on the tape measure go down. That is what keeps me going. I need to just remove the batteries from the scale and not touch it for like 3 months! My arms are starting to take a new form, I really do not think I will make my goal of 50 pounds by June, for the simple fact the scale has stayed put all through the month of February.

I have started taking some Cayenne Fruit pills, and I am thinking about getting me some Cinnamon pills as well. I mean what can it hurt, it is all natural so what the hell.

I just wanted to post a little something so that everyone knew I am still working on dropping those scary pounds! I have a few low fat/diet cookbooks to post, I will be posting those within the next week or so. Love trying new low calorie, but yummy tasting recipes.

Monday, Gillian and I finally got our ipod touches, she got the 8gig, and I got the 32gig. I almost got the 8gig so I could save a little money, but my husband talked me into getting the 32 and I am so glad I did. I have found so many awesome apps, and having so much to entertain me while on the elliptical makes the time go by so much faster.

When I first got the touch, I asked around to see what apps was must have, and I was told the lose it app. Recently, I was logging my calorie intake via the computer. I have to say I LOVE this app. Not only does it keep track of my calories, it also keeps track of the calories I burn!

I have won a few badges already as well, this app is a must have for those working on meeting their goal weight. Easily track your food intake, as well as your calories burned. Don’t have a touch, ipad, or iphone no worries you can go to the Lose It site, and do it all from there.
