Being a stay at home mom, I am always trying to find other ways to make a little money. Sometimes I take surveys, other times I seek out people looking for advertising. Whether it be on my sites, or via my twitter account. Did you know there’s companies out there that will buy tweets!

SEOClerks.com makes it easy to let businesses know that you will be more than happy to tweet about them. They also make it super simple to set up an ad to let businesses know what you have to offer. However, they have more to offer then just tweets. If you have extra time on your hands, and have special skills such as leaving blog comments, or article writing you can also set up ads letting others know that you are available and what you do have to offer.

Finding legit work from home can be tough, but if you have the right tools, and the will power and can keep up with things you will have no problem finding ways to make extra money. That is one reason I do like companies such as SEOClerks.com because they do make it as simple as possible to touch base with those looking for your expertise.

What are somethings you do to make extra cash?

This guest post from Edgardo Rosa

When my husband and I decided to get married, we sat down and made a list of what we thought our budget should entail. We started with how much we both made at our jobs, and then we went into deciding how much of our income should go for what. Of course we first had to start with the basics like our mortgage, our utilities, food, and car expenses including gas and insurance. Then we got into health insurance, which was already taken out of our paychecks at our jobs. After we covered all the basics with a cheat sheet we had gotten from a financial planner, we finally got to talk about other things we wanted above and beyond the bottom line. That is where my husband kind of went crazy talking about all these things he wanted to buy. I told him we were going to have to take it one step at a time. Sure we could afford all the things we wanted, but did we really need something like a giant television that was going to take up our whole den? We settled on a smaller set, and went on from there. I told him I wanted to get a security system through adt home security . At least that way, all the outlandish stuff he wanted to buy would be protected if we ever had someone try to break into the house.

Now that my daughter is 10 I think it is time to start teaching her how to save. With starting up a new business, I am going to look into getting her a savings account. This is the perfect time to teach her about responsibilities when it comes to money. She has always been the type when she gets money she has to spend it.

My husband and I have always tried to maintain some what of a savings account, this has saved us many times when we have been in a jam. We would simply take 10 to 20 dollars from his check each week, and place it in the bank. I personally found this to be the easiest way to get us to save. When it is a small amount you hardly notice a difference, and within time, the interest itself will help bring the balance up.

One of the first things I will be teaching my daughter is looking for the bank that will give her the best rates, and one with no monthly fees. When banks charge you those monthly fees it defeats the purpose of the savings account. I think she is a bit to young to teach her about overdraft protection, but as she gets older, and I start giving her more control over her account we will go over all the real responsibilities.

My first step in teaching her about savings, will be finding something she really wants and costs a little bit of money. We will start placing her money that she earns in the bank, and we will save to reach that goal. Once she reaches her savings goal we will start over. Then as she gets older hopefully she will be able to pick out what she needs and what she wants.

Teaching financial responsibility at a young age is a must!

How do you teach your children about savings, and responsibilities when it comes to personal finances. Do you do a lot of charging to the credit cards, or are you the type that if you don’t have the money, you don’t purchase the item?

Talk about a pain in the behind. For the past two days I have been melting and filtering beeswax! I have been super excited with what 2012 has in store for me. Not only on a business aspect but also on a more personal aspect. I have been battling many demons for a long time, and I am finally getting help.

I am hoping this new journey not only brings me something to do besides being online, but also helps me make a more personal connection with others in my community.

I know it will bring my daughter and I closer, because she will of course be helping, she says she needs money to purchase monster high dolls. However, this momma has a little something more up her sleeves. This is the perfect time to teach my daughter about money, and how to save! I think with teaching children at a young age it will help them become more responsible when they get older.

Of course, it is okay to splurge now and then. But I think she needs to know her main responsibility as an adult is unfortunately bills, and all those wonderful expenses that comes a long with being an adult.

Want to see the pretty filtered beeswax?

I would one day love to have a bee farm. Bees produce so much that is good for us! But until that day, I will purchase from a local beeskeeper.
