Entertainment has come so far since I was a child. I am only 30, but I remember when having a 27in TV was a big deal. Now, TV’s are HUGE, and the gaming systems don’t get me started on those LOL. We had an Atari, which we loved playing galaga and frogger on. As the years went on Nintendo came about, we could play Mario for hours, talk about fun.

I think sometimes our children are getting spoiled with all the electronics. I mean do not get me wrong I like that my daughter has the options and more technology then I did growing up. A lot of these things are great learning tools, but coming out with a new hand held game may be a bit much.

I remember in 1995 I was in High School and one of our teachers had her computer connected to the INTERNET… It was on a dial up connection and all us high school girls fought for the computer. We would talk to boys from the next town over during our lunch break. Now hardly anyone has dial up and we all have Satellite Internet or some sort of other high speed access.

If you are one of those people still on dial up because noone in your area offers a high speed connection, there is a few companies out there, that might have the answer for you. I know we at one time was looking into getting Wild Blue.

We always had the problem of running into a “oh we don’t service that area” with other companies. So we was stuck with our local company, and when I say local I mean just that. It only covers part of the county I live in and a small part of another county.

However, with wildblue I do not think you would hear that above statement. That is another good thing about technology, it is starting to not matter in what area of the country you live in, you will have some what to the same options as everyone else.

I LOVE me some Chipmunks. I have always loved the chipmunks, I remember when I was a little girl we would always watch the cartoon show. As soon as it started my sisters and I would start singing the theme.

Alvin, Simon, Theodore doot doot doda doot.

I know when the first one came out, my daughter and I had to see it. We laughed so hard, then when I heard Warner Brother’s was making another one my daughter and I got so excited. I had to make a promise to her that we would watch that one as well.

She fell in love with the Chipettes. Well, today she received a nice little surprise in the mail… The Soundtrack to The Squeakquel, thanks to WB WOM.

This is a soundtrack that makes even a mom excited. Some people think music is just music. However, music is so much more. It is a learning tool to so many things.

Alvin and The Chipmunk: The Squeakquel Soundtrack is helping my daughter concentrate, and focus. How is it helping her concentrate and focus. Well when you are singing a long you have to know the words and in order to keep up you also have to know the beat.

The soundtrack also encourages her to be silly. Being silly as a kid is very important, and will have a big impact on their adulthood life. This let’s them know at a young age that you do not have to be serious about everything in life. I mean look at Dave he talks to Chipmunks :)

Gillian, has not stopped listening to this CD since she seen we had it. Her favorite song on the CD though, is of course Single Ladies by The Chipettes.

This Soundtrack can be purchased on Amazon for $11.88 or if you have a ipod/iphone you can jam to the Chipmunks/Chipettes on them. Just head to iTunes and purchase through them.

Product Description:
The Squeakquel Movie Soundtrack is great entertainment for both kids and parents. Featuring chipmunk’d renditions of classics from Beyonce, Katy Perry, the Bee Gees and many more, Alvin, Simon, Theodore and their girlfriends, The Chipettes, provide hours of fun for everyone.

In a few weeks my husband will be taking his vacation from work. He has a huge to do list on his 7 days away from work. Some, but not all include the following…

Fix the interior doors that are off the hinges. -

Build awnings over the exterior doors -

Finish cleaning up the back yard-

Possibly fixing up the shed and seeing about getting new windows. I suppose I will be calling around to see how much replacement windows will run.

Replace all the water pipes under the trailer. We still have that crappy gray stuff that they no longer sell because it springs leaks. Yea I have been without cold water in the home for over a year, time to get it fixed.

Building a small patio in the back off the sliding doors.

Hmm. I think that is about it for now. Besides fishing, fishing and more fishing. We plan on going on a mini vacation to a Civil War campground. HOPEFULLY it won’t be to nasty and we can get all this done. We also need to re coat the roof with that thick metal tin roof paint stuff. I have no idea what it is called, but its think nasty and a pain to stir.

As long as WE can get those few main things done then I am happy. :) You notice I said “we” I am not going to make my poor husband do it all by himself. I will be out there as well, getting yelled at I am sure because I bring him the wrong thing. I might be smart to do inside work and stay away from him LOL. Fun fun fun.

I was sitting here thinking to myself, and you know what there is a lot more manufacturing in Mexico going on then what I thought. Some times we don’t bother to stop and educate ourselves with the products we use and where they come from.

I personally assume most everything comes from China. My daughter one day even asked how China new high school musical, because made in china was stamped on the bottom of her shoes.

Did you know some of the best Tequila comes from Mexico? They also have some amazing art. Don’t forget about Ponchos and Sombreros, and their amazing food.

We have one of the most awesome restaurants here, it is fully Owned and ran by Mexican’s and at times it is hard to understand what they are saying, but what I love the most about this restaurant is the entertainment. They have 3 men who walk around singing and it’s not that annoying music. It is really relaxing and helps you unwind.

Spring is literally right around the corner, and what comes with warm weather? Spring cleaning and remodeling. I have started to do spring cleaning and to be honest it is a pain in the behind. Within the next few weeks or so my husband will be going on his vacation. So I would like to have most the house cleaned and decluttered so we can get some bigger jobs done.

One of the main things we will be working on is getting the water pipes fixed. We will also be attempting to paint metal. Wonder how this is going to turn out. Any ideas on a easy way to do this?

While my husband is on his vacation from work he is probably going to wish he was still working, because we have a ton that needs done. I think I am also going to have him build us some steps coming from our sliding door. If you was to walk out them as of right now you would fall about 4 foot. When we tore the deck down we never replaced the steps, so it is long past due. I want to get in the back yard from the back door.

I also wouldn’t mind getting some nice new shiny Door Handles. Wonder what hubby would think of that idea. My personally I love it. Nothing more welcoming then a nice home.

I remember when I was growing up, I lived in a town called Alma, Michigan. That was home, it smelled of gases and a stinky river. The one thing that I loved about living in Alma, was most everything was within walking distance from where we lived.

The middle school was literally a few steps from our front door, the high school was about a mile, but still we walked it every school morning. Made skipping school so easy. Shh don’t tell no one though ;)

Living in a town that had a plant that let off all kinds of gases took a toll on my asthma. I guess it is called an oil refinery. You know with them torches that are lite and they say if they go out the whole town would blow up. Not sure if that is true or not, but I know I wished those torches never went out.

I think that is should be mandatory for businesses like the one in Alma to have a Thermal Oxidizer installed. Then there will not be as many fumes being pumped into the air we breathe. The less pollutants in the air the better for our children. It also helps the ozone.
