Last week I told you all about a program called Pink Together. Pink Together is a community of women who share their stories of surviving and fighting breast cancer. They also support, and give hope to those still fighting breast cancer.

I was informed by MyBlogSpark, that General Mills will be donating $2 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® , they will also be turning the packaging pink for the month of October on an assortment of their beloved brands. Are you ready for some more? For the month of October General Mills will also be donating $1, up to $20,000, each time someone posts a comment of encouragement, sends a virtual flower, or shares a story on Pink Together. 1. Although I've had breast cancer 3 times and lost my sister to it when she was 46 I have a friend named Laura. She has had far more tragedy in her life than I. She is always smiling and upbeat. She is the most profoundly spiritual person I've ever known. She lost her sister to cancer at the same age as my siter 3 months before we met. We became fast friends. I feel like she was an angel sent to me on this difficult journey.

My best friend Carol has inspired me with her grace and strength.

  3. My friend Laura, who has a lot of cancer in her immediate family, and is always upbeat

  4. Of course my mom and grandmother inspire me. My mom is a wonderful cook and she uses her ability to spread warmth, love, and cheer. My grandmother had 7 kids whom she raised in primitive conditions through war, famine, disease, you name it.

  5. Not sure how to leave the link. If someone could explain to me that would be good. Technically still in the 20th century. Sent a flower to Lindsey, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 23! I was can't imagine what she went through at such a young age, but I was truly inspired.

  6. Second post for leaving a flower to Lindsay. Need someone to explain to me how to leave a link. Thanks.

  7. I love the fact that you can send people flowers on the Pink Together website to show your support. I also think the Pink Together website raises awareness in young women that they can get breast cancer too. I think you typically associate breast cancer with older women.

  9. Another thing I find impressive about the Pink Together website is the actual concept. What a great idea. Someone out there took the time to put this website together. How many of us come up with good ideas, but never execute them. It's convenient, easy to use, and allows other people to show support by sending e-flowers.
