Rafflecopter The Back End

Remember when I stated what I disliked about Rafflecopter? Well, I got a chance to actually check out the back end of it, the part that the bloggers see when they set up the giveaway. I have to say I am in love, tonight was my first night picking a winner with the rafflecopter, it was super easy.

I noticed when entering giveaways one blogger asked if people liked it, and another person stated it concerned them with cheaters. I will be honest, Rafflecopter is a lot easier to detect “cheaters” then blogger, and wordpress. I have to say when multiple blogs use one rafflecopter, it is easy to enter the giveaway more than once, without thinking. I wouldn’t call that cheating HOWEVER it is super easy to remove double entries, so again no issues with cheating.

I think rafflecopter, is a lot easier for both ends, the one entering the giveaway, and the one hosting the giveaway. I am glad I got to check this out first hand, and it will be what I use most of the time. I am pretty bad at posting the winner of giveaways, now all you have to do is goto the giveaway and look at the rafflecopter, and you will now see the winner.

So for those worrying about cheaters, you have nothing to worry about. :)

Comments

  1. I like the simplicity of Rafflecopter but it does not work for everyone. I’ve tried to enter using the Rafflecopter form but I always get a message saying there is an error. As a result I quit entering giveaways with Rafflecopter. I know I’m not the only. There are still a few bugs to work out.

  2. I also have problems entering giveaways that use Rafflecopter. I have not seen the plus side of entering with it.

It takes a long time to load and then when I submit an entry it might go through but 90 % of the time I get the ” oh noes error message”.

I hope that others who are having the same problems speak up and let the blogs who host giveaways aware of this.

  3. I have not been a happy camper since Rafflecopter has come on the scene.

I am not entering as many sweeps simply because RC takes so much time and is so buggy, (dropped links, non working links; downline server malfunctions, (which can create more or less entries, etc), etc)

Most iSPs use dynamic IP addressing. Getting a different IP isn’t difficult.

check out my blog for additional comments on Rafflecopter from the user side of the experience…
