Setting Goals for 2014

Last night as I sat in the bath relaxing, my husband and I started talking about our goals for 2014. In the past 14 years we both have overcome so much and we are both stronger than ever and still kicking. No matter what hurdles are thrown our way we will find away to overcome them together, and we will come out just as strong as we were before if not stronger.

A little over 14 years ago, my husband and I met in a chatroom. I don’t recall the server we were on, I think it was CoolChat, however, he spammed me I went to see what it was all about, and we started talking. He was the “Admin/Owner” of the chatroom I was spammed too, and I would find myself filling up his whisper aka private chat. We would talk for hours and into the morning.

He was 18 at the time and I was 20, 4 months later we would meet in person, and 2 months after meeting in person we were living together. I knew from the beginning this was the man I was going to share the rest of my life with. I didn’t know the hurdles we would face, however, even if I knew the challenges that laid ahead I would do it all over.

So as I laid in the bath, we were talking about things we would like to happen in 2014, while some may happen, some may not happen, the most important thing is that we try, and we try together. To me there is no failing as long as you have tried…

So here are our goals for 2014…

  • Lose Weight
  • Start a business
  • Get pregnant
  • Win something big
  • Take a few vacations
  • Talk more to eachother

Those are a few of our goals, I know in order to get pregnant, I need to lose weight. I have converted Dizzy Mommy Chronicles into my weight lose journal online, I started out with daily updates, I have since changed that a bit. Often times I am to tired to get on here before bed and do a post.

However, within the next few months my husband and I will have our business up and going, and I cannot wait. I want to be able to spend less time on the computer and more time hangout with my family.

What are some of your goals for 2014?

  1. Those sound like goals I could do also. I’ve never set new year resolutions before, but I think this year is the year to start.

  2. Good luck on your goals. (I remember chat rooms…)
My goal is to swim three times a week.

Good win! I haven’t won anything that big! Good job, this year is going to be my year I think. I need a lot of luck with getting pregnant, only time will tell and if it is meant to be it will.

  4. They are great goals. My hubby and I never take the time to talk about it. Then we run into a road block and say we should have talked about it. Best of luck getting pregnant. I hope this is your year.
