Have you ever taken the time to browse Oriental Trading’s website? If not, I recommend it, they have so much stuff ranging from Summer fun to holiday adventures. They even have a great selection of birthday goodies! The end of August we had the opportunity to check out their birthday products, I have to say it was a blast doing so.
Our daughter was turning 13 and we wanted to give her a birthday she would remember. She has been wanting a metal detector so we decided for her birthday we were going to surprise her with a metal detector. After looking at some reviews, I seen where a family decided to bury the presents and let their child look for them. So with that being said that is just what we did!
But you cannot have a birthday party with buried treasure and a metal detector without having the proper pirate gear to go with it. We browsed all the great pirate items at Oriental Trading, and came across the Pink Pirate Girl Party Supplies, I knew right then this was the theme we were going to go for.
With this being a surprise party, I had to be very secretive, we ordered pink pirate decorations, party supplies and trinkets.
For the treat bags, I got these cute pink pirate take out boxes and a pirate assortment bag to fill them up with.
I also ordered some girly pirate bandannas, pink pirate ducks, more coins, treasure maps, and some pink and black telescopes. This was a great assortment so all the other kids would also have a great time.
We used a treasure chest from the assortment of pirate goodies, a pink rubber pirate duck, and some coins to make her cake.
Over all the party was a success and I was pleased with all the great pirate birthday supplies for girls we found at Oriental Trading. After we got the party started we took it outside for some fun digging up the presents!
