I will be receiving S’mores in exchange for this post. No other form of compensation was received.
Today is National S’mores day! I remember growing up we would have campfires just to make those oowey goowey goodness treats and to this day when we go camping we take along those famous S’more making ingredients. Roasting the marshmallows is always the fun part for the kids around here.
I like roasting my marshmallow by the hot coals, this insures my sugary treat will not catch fire and leave me with a burnt mess, instead I will have a golden brown marshmallow. That my friend is roasting perfection!!!
Then I would take my dark chocolate and graham cracker and have the ultimate sweet tooth fighter.
Doesn’t that look to die for? However, now it’s time to get back to reality, and the reality is, with trying to lose weight in this home, we need to find an alternative and what better alternative then the S’mores Balance Bar. Sure the S’mores Balance Bar doesn’t have 100grams of sugar and 400 empty calories. However, it does have 14g of protein, 3g of fiber, 23 vitamins and minerals, and is an excellent source of antioxidants and with only having 200 calories per bar makes a great post-workout snack.
So with today being National S’more day what better way to celebrate than grabbing for a healthy alternative.
One lucky reader of The Neat Things in Life is going to have a chance to sink their teeth into a S’more Balance Bar after their next workout. Okay, maybe not next workout but soon!
