Better Homes and Gardens Pots and Pans Review

I am almost 32 years old, and I have NEVER owed a nice full set of pots and pans. For the past 4 years, I have been using one pot that was all scratched up, and I had no frying pans. I had won a really nice ceramic one a little over a year ago, which has been a blessing in my kitchen.

So this tax season I wanted to purchase a nice set of pots and pans, no more cooking a meal in one pan… Off to Wal-mart we went, I really wanted a Paula Deen set, I new from the start I was going to pay a nice price to get a nice set, my husband and I looked at the Paula Deen sets, the Teflon sets, and the Better Homes and Gardens set. I was really not wanting to spend $100 on pans, however after comparing the 3 different sets we went with the Better Homes and Gardens.

Better Homes and Gardens Pots and PansOut of the three sets we looked at, the Better Homes and Gardens looked better made, it was made thicker then the other ones, and the triple preforming grid at the bottom of these pans sealed the deal with our decision.

My Opinion:

I LOVE these pans, I have always had to use my griddle to make fried eggs, and even though it is non stick I always have to use a ton of butter, to put these pans to the test I made some fried eggs, no butter just the egg and the pan. I went to flip the egg, and to my surprise it just slide around in the pan, I was shocked I can’t even get these to slide around on the griddle. Needless to say, I have been making fried eggs almost daily.

I also discovered these pans make AWESOME omelets. I have always had issues making these on the griddle, I decided the other day I would make one in my new frying pan. I mixed 3 eggs with some milk, poured it into a nice hot pan, put the lid on the pan and let it cook. Then I added the cheese and tomatoes flipped a side over, put my lid back on, let it cook for a bit longer and walla I had an amazing omelet. My daughter has been getting me to make her omelets often, and had me get some black olives and mushrooms!

I love my new Better Homes and Gardens Pots and Pans!

I’m currently in the market for pans and hubs was trying to convince me to get this set. Glad to hear they’re so good! I haven’t made my final decision, but thanks for sharing your experience! It’s definitely helped! :D That’s awesome about the eggs not sticking, btw! I have a “non-stick” griddle, too, and am always having to butter it. Otherwise, hub’s fried eggs stick and it’s a horrible mess to clean up. I’ll definitely be keeping these pans on the “top 3” list!

    • I love these pans, I love how I can also put them in the oven, my first night having them I made some sausage, onion, and potatoes in the oven, well I forgot about it, and kinda burnt the food. But guess what IT DIDN’T STICK TO THE PAN haha cleaning these pans is a breeze.

  2. The sets looks sweet! It’s really nice to have a set, compared to doing it in just one frying pan.

  3. Thank you for your comments on these pans. I’m thinking of purchasing a set, but I’m skeptical of their claim that they can actually “brown” the meat….I know of no other nonstick pans that make this claim. Does it actually work??? Browning the meat is very important to my cooking.

We recently purchased the BH&G cookware set and I mailed in signed up for warranty, my 2.5 quart saucepan is scratched up inside I would like to have a new one???

    • I am sorry you have scratches in your pans, the only thing I can tell you to do is contact customer service for BH&G. I am not affiliated with them we just purchased their pans, and I personally think they’re great. I do have some scratches in mine, but that is because I have a husband and daughter who grab whatever utensil that is close by and use it in my pans. I once yelled at them, but learned it did no good.

  5. I found these pans (BHG with Triple Performance Grid) at Walmart over the holidays (2012) at a steal-of-a-deal ($5 per pan) so I took a chance and bought some. I went home and baked my favorite orange sweet rolls (Pillsbury). I usually have to spray Pam on my pan but did not with this new pan to test it. To my surprise when I inverted the rolls out of the pan and on to a plate, they just fell out!! They did not stick at all. I thought, “Wow, I have never had a non-stick pan perform so well??!!!” On my next trip out to Walmart, I bought all three of my kids a set of these pans for Christmas. And just today I bought two of the pie pans (on clearance for $4 each). I can’t wait to make quiche with these.

    • I love their pans, I haven’t had no issues with them. Not only are the awesome, they’re affordable.
