The Elliptical My New Best Friend

So these past few days, I have been working out on the elliptical machine. All I can say is whew, I can only handle 10 minutes at a time, but 10 minutes is better then none right? I am doing the elliptical 2 to 3 times a day making it be 20 to 30 minutes a day. I can feel the workout through my whole body.

I have also been doing rather well on my calorie intake, I have been logging everything, and I am in the 1200 to 1500 range on my daily intake, it’s hard to believe at one time I was drinking almost that many calories a day!

I have also been drinking 2,  3oz  servings of whey protein drink, that stuff isn’t to bad. I remember when I first tried it, I was like eww, now I want it, I need to try a different kind.

Did you know that a 150 pound female, burns about 300 calories on the elliptical machine in 30 minutes? I need to get batteries for this one, so I can see what it is saying I am burning, I would love to know.

So the Elliptical Machine, is now my new best friend, I might only spend 20 to 30 minutes with it a day, but it gives me a run for my money! It won’t be long at all, before I reach my birthday goal. Go Me!

How is everyone else doing with their weight loss, and goals for 2011? Sticking to them, gearing off track? Need some motivation? Remember, a little hard work and it will pay off in the long run, I so can not wait, until I can wear a dress and not look like a tent.

  1. I am slipping away.. I have the naggin sweet tooth that just will not go away. There is a lot I can’t do right now with the shoulder, so have to just wait until I can.

    • aw don’t let the sweet tooth win! If the sweet tooth wins, get you some dark chocolate it is filled with antioxidants and better for you in the long run. I hope that shoulder gets better, so you can give it your all, if you do a google search I bet you could find lots of stuff, you are able to do so the shoulder doesn’t end up adding my pounds for you to get rid of!

You can do it, I know you can!

  2. Thanks for the tip on the Dark Chocolate.. I am coming up with ways around the house to strengh the muscles I kind of lost all last summer. bummer.

  3. I can’t wait till I get mine!! YOU ROCK!! Keep up the great work!!Jen

    • It’s KILLING ME! Omg I force myself to do it daily. I love seeing the numbers on those scales go down, and when its a pound a day it makes me push myself that much harder! I cannot say you will love the elliptical LOL you will hate it I am sure, but you will love the results it brings. I just hope I do not get to a certain weight and then stop and my body not drop no more.
