Scavenger hunt

The other morning for our daughters schooling we took her to the park and had a scavenger hunt. I had her looking for all kinds of neat things. Most of the hunt was done in the woods and she had a blast. She loved having to find things on our list. I almost thought we wouldn’t find everything. I had on the list a yellow flower and through our hike we had not found one. My husband said when we was at the end of the trail there would be a lot. Me “naw I don’t think we will find one”, but my husband believed we would and sure enough when we got to the open field there was tons.

So home schooling momma’s if you’re stumped on something to do for a day make a list of things you might find at the park and head on out for a scavenger hunt. It will give the kids a break from paper and pencil and give them something fun to do while they are still learning.
