Internet Laws

I have been debating for a few days now on whether I wanted to write this post. After reading story after story and attack after attack, being done on the internet, not only with Shellie, but in general I think it is time our President make harder and stiffer rules for those using the internet.

As we all know EVERYTHING can be traced. It may take time but it can be done. How the hell is it okay for someone to harass, belittle, torture, slander and the list goes on, someone online. I have sat back and I have seen all the shit a few (I do not know what to call them. I do not want to classify them in my gender.) “females” have been giving a mom in mourning over the loss of her son. The sad thing about it, is the the attacks are happening on well known sites, and the sites are doing nothing to stop it. Why? Because they are making the news as well so it is bringing more money to their pocket books. It makes me even more sick to know people are getting a kick out of all this because it is making their wallets thicker.

I strongly feel companies such as google, and twitter should also be held liable for allowing this trash to continue to play out. I do not think people realize the internet has become such a big part of everyone’s lives to where it is like we are all literally neighbors.

If these female was attacking this grieving mother face to face it would be considered everything I have stated they are saying it is not on line. Actually now it would be this grieving mother sitting in jail. Why? Because she would have given them what they deserve.

What needs to be done for people to be held responsible for their actions online? Do people have to start killing themselves? Nope to late that has already happened. I read just the other day a 19 year old boy committed suicide while broadcasting on Justin TV. while people watched and egged him on. (This is not the first time someone has committed suicide while people watched and egged it on. Why wasn’t the place allowing the broadcast to happen held under some sort of liability.) EVERYONE of those people who watched that young man take his life need tracked down and charged some way for his death.

Our government is allowing way to much to continue to happen at the end of a keyboard and it NEEDS to come to a stop.
