Sometimes I dislike living in the South. Summers are too hot, and I forgot how to handle the cold winters. I come from Michigan so you would think the cold wouldn’t effect me much. Well, it does, I kind of got spoiled with the summers even though they are over whelming at times.
However, both seasons have there pros and cons to them.
Summer time means more kids “joy” riding, and if you do not know what I mean when I say joy riding. Joy riding is when teenagers drive down back roads destroying other peoples property. In the past 5 years we have had to replace our mailboxes around about 6 times. I finally gave up on buying a new one. Until they hit it off the post it sits on, it stays. I am not the only one that feels that way. When driving around the neighborhood there are several mailboxes dented and smashed in. Another thing I dislike about summer is, it can get way too hot. My body can not handle it to well, but for me it is easier to cool myself down then it is to warm myself up.
Winter time means my mailbox does not have to suffer from the abuse of some deranged teenager who has nothing better to do with his/her time. It also means I have to freeze. When my feet get cold only way to warm my body back up is a hot bath. When I say hot I come out looking like a lobster.
If I had to pick Summer or Winter I would meet them in the middle and go with Spring. Spring in the south is perfect.
Now I will bundle up while I brass myself for the freezing cold weekend we are about to have.
