Fireworks Illegal

As I was playing bejeweled I was flipping back and forth and checking out news feed on facebook. When something caught my eye.

Fireworks in the town I live in will be on Friday July 2nd. However, shortly after this was posted something else was posted that caught my eye and got me thinking.

According to our fire department, it is ILLEGAL to shoot fireworks on any other day BUT July 3rd and 4th. So it brings to me this question. How is the City of Munford able to do their fire works on the 2nd of July when it is illegal? I am still trying to figure this all out.

If the city wants people to follow their stupid laws then I guess they should also follow their own law…. or is this not even a real law… This right here just goes to show what is illegal for some is not illegal for others.

UPDATE: They responded with “State Permit” I personally feel since it is illegal they shouldn’t be allowed to shoot on that day either. Permit or not. Set a good example for your residents Munford.
