Geocaching My Way To Thin

We have known about geocaching now for about 12 days. In those 12 days, we have found 40 geocache units, and walked over 7 miles! Yes, 7 miles of walking; that my family normally wouldn’t do, 7 miles of fun site seeing, and 7 miles of family time, away from the electronics.

It will not be much longer, and it will start snowing, and it will make it hard for us to find geocaches, so we will have to sit back and be bored during the winter months. However, come Summer, we will be hitting the road hard. I am going to see about getting 2 more gps units, one for my husband and myself. The one we do have is a basic cheap one for the kids, daddy and I need a more advanced one, but this does the job for now!

I also want to get a good backpack, so we have something to carry drinks, and something to eat. When we go out caching, we are out for hours at a time. Once Summer gets here, I will be watching the scales so I can watch as our new found hobby helps me shed the fat.

You will be seeing me post more and more about geocaching, because it is something I have found a passion for. It is a great way to get your family to connect. If you are trying to figure out what to get as a family gift this holiday season, get a handheld gps unit for geocaching, if you love the outdoors you will love this!
