Getting Good Deals for Dirt Cheap

Have you ever walked in a store and wished you could find things for dirt cheap? I am a bargain shopper, whenever I go into a store whether it be the grocery store or a retail store one of my first stores is their mark down section. The price of items have just went up to high for me to even consider paying full price.

Recently, I learned of a new store opening close by, the name was something I had never heard before, so when I seen it I asked around and we decided to Google it. The store just happened to be Dirt Cheap. We joked about how expensive they were probably going to be, our daughter begged us to take her in there when the opened, so on Labor Day we decided we would check them out.

First, this store looks nothing like the website, so when I went in I was a bit shocked. It was a mess in there and you had to dig through things to find awesome stuff, but I like it that way, it means some people who are in a hurry will miss those killer deals, and I will look at everything and score some killer deals.

First off let me tell you what type of store Dirt Cheap is, I like to think of it as a Goodwill, but with brand new items and cheaper prices. They have named brand items that are anywhere from 30 to 95% off. They purchase overstock, out of season, returns, and closeout deals from manufactures, retailers and distributors. Since they’re purchasing for a great deal, they can in return give us all a great deal.

Our first day going in we had a cart full, my daughter was purchasing a pair of shoes, I thought they were $14.75, once we checked out we quickly learned they were only $1 a pair, of course she went and got a few more pairs.

These shoes were originally from Claire’s, they had a tag on them showing they were $29.95 a pair, over $90 with tax and all and we paid $3 for all three, this was a deal I couldn’t beat!

Then we found some silly glasses and some jewelry. Theses items are also from Claire’s marked anywhere from $6.50 to $11.50, we paid $0.25 a piece!!!

With these prices who could beat it, for those who love to shop but don’t have much money THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! Since we were so thrilled with the deals we found, we went back a few days later and found even more deals!

This time I took the time to really look, I found a pink floor lamp, the kind you purchase at Walmart for $10.98 in the 95% of section, paid $0.55 for the lamp!

When you find things in Dirt Cheap the items are sold as is, there’s no promise the item you are purchasing is going to work. However, I was willing to take the risk on a few items I found, including this lamp. The lamp worked perfectly, the only thing wrong is the top plastic cover has a small crack in it, you can hardly tell it is even there. For 55 cents I will take it any day, this will go perfect in our daughters room.

We also found a $39.99 Mr. Coffee, coffee pot in the 95% section, this was a return because it was previously used, but my mother in law needed a coffee pot and for $2, I was willing to take that risk. Needless to say, it to worked perfect.

I do know where I will be doing my Christmas shopping this year, as well as shopping for some new household items. This place ROCKS. It truly is dirt cheap.
