Home-Schooling Made Easy With Robinson Curriculum

I will admit when I first started homeschooling my daughter I was clueless. With having pulled her from public schools while in kindergarten I wasn’t sure where to start. I ordered Hooked on Phonics, picked up the kindergarten workbook from Walmart and went from there.

It wasn’t long and Gillian was reading and learning everything she would in public school plus more. Over the years we have tried different curriculum’s. Out of the different ones I would have to say I like Robinson Curriculum the best.

I have found this certain curriculum takes the stress out of homeschooling. Each day Gillian knows what she is supposed to do and what is expected from her. She begins most days with writing, followed by math and then reading. With Robinson Curriculum, Gillian is being self-taught. Most of her learning comes from her reading and writing.

With it being mostly reading and writing I was worried that Gillian wouldn’t like it. However, I have discovered she likes it a lot better than the other schooling we have done. Which is a good things, my only regret with homeschooling is I wish I would have discovered the Robinson Curriculum before the 7th grade. Why? This is a curriculum that is used from the start to the finish and certain books for certain grades, it would have been great to have her doing all the books instead of starting in between.

Since we didn’t start until 7th grade though, I am having Gillian go back through the curriculum and read the ones that are required. This assures me she is learning everything needed for her level.

Robinson Curriculum is a CD based curriculum so it isn’t as pricey as other curriculum’s out there. If you choose to print the books, it could run into some money. I have found the best solution is to load up the books on to a tablet this way it saves on paper and ink if I were to print them.

If you have thought about homeschooling but wasn’t sure do to time or money, I highly recommend you check into the Robinson Curriculum. This curriculum isn’t for everyone though, if you have a child that needs supervised you could still use it, it would just require more time from you to ensure your child is learning.
