Best Deal EVER on a Silhouette Cameo2

I have been wanting a Silhouette Cameo for awhile now and over the past year or so I have entered several giveaways hoping to win. Well, I was never lucky enough to be drawn as a winner. I decided that I was going to splurge and get me a nice Valentine’s Day gift, I mean after all I deserve it right? Plus, having something fun to do will help keep my mind off Yoda.

I was looking at several different bundle deals on Amazon, but didn’t want to wait. So when my family went to Memphis today, we decided to check out Michaels. They had the older Silhouette Cameo, but nothing came with it, and if I was going to spend $269 plus tax, I wanted the new machine. They did have 30% off their cameo accessories though, so I made several purchases.

After we left Michaels, we went to check out our favorite store in Memphis, Bargain Hunt. Bargain Hunt has some of the best deals ever. I never thought I would find a Silhouette Cameo at this store though, however, I DID!!! When we came around the corner I seen the Cricut, but I had my mind and heart set on the Silhouette, and low and behold, I kid not, THEY HAD A SILHOUETTE CAMEO2! The same one that I was going to come home and order on Amazon, the best part about it… It was $159!

Do you see that price, $159.00 I was super excited at this point. Bargain Hunt is a store where not everything works, my husband asked if I was sure I wanted to get it from there, we found an outlet and plugged it in. It came on so we made the purchase.

After we came home I hooked it all up, installed the software and started using the Silhouette. YES IT WORKS! I wasn’t worried about it not working, Bargain Hunt offers a 30 day return, so if it didn’t work I would have been able to get my money back. I still cannot believe I paid only $159 for a Silhouette Cameo2.

I have a lot of learning to do, but for under $290 which included tax, I got Silhouette Cameo Electronic Cutting Machine Starter Bundle, 3 packs of cardstock paper with 50 sheets each pack, 2 packs of foil paper (Small 4×6 I believe), Silhouette Cameo Replacement Cutting Mat which gives me a total of three because two came with the Cameo, Silhouette Sketch Pen Starter Kit, Silhouette Vinyl Starter Kit, Silhouette Heat Transfer Starter Kit, and a Silhouette Cameo Dust Cover.

I cannot wait to learn everything about the Cameo and I cannot wait to share some neat things I make with the Silhouette Cameo!

I still cannot believe all the stuff I got all for under the price of the Silhouette Cameo plus the tax on Amazon.

  1. Do you like the Silhouette Cameo 2? I have a cricut but the cartridges are so expensive plus it’s not cutting for some reason I have changed blade checked housing made sure everything was plugged in..uggh I’m thinking of going the way of the Cameo!!

I never tried the Cricut, but what made me not want one was that you had to purchase cartridges. This is the first time every owning a cutting machine. I am not sure what all is different about the Silhouette Cameo 2, however, so far I love it and I loved the price I got it for. With the Silhouette Cameo, you can pay a monthly subscription and you will get credits for the store to purchase designs. I believe if you go monthly it’s 11.49 and you get $25 in credits so well worth it and you can use all your fonts through the Silhouette Studio. I haven’t had it but for a day but as of this minute I have no complaints. A lot to learn but no complaints.
